Bio
Fernando Hernández Arboleda better known as Koctel (1989) was born in Granada and raised in
Seville (Spain), famous city for being full of orange trees, which is where much of the inspiration
for his work comes from, being the orange his personal signature. He finished his artistic studies
in the High school of professional drawing of Madrid (2010) where kept in touch with big
professionals from the comic and animation field, starting point for developing his imagination.
From a very young age he showed great interest in drawing and graffiti. the latter was a turning
point, a model of artistic discipline full of creativity and freshness that helped him find the most
suitable creative space to deploy his prolific imagination. This urban dialogue of painting with the
wall provided him with a broader artistic vision in such a way that the facades of the cities he
painted were the witnesses of his artistic evolution and development. From 2014 make his works
in the public space and that often takes him to different countries around the world painting large
scale murals for urban art festivals and other events.
Starting from 2019, begin to show his art works in different local art galleries till in 2021 officially
jump to the international art market having showed in art fairs like Art miami, Art on paper New
York or Art central Hong Kong. Actually his work is focused in creating at the studio located in
Madrid, where he works on different sizes and formats for international exhibitions, also keep
doing murals and producing 3D sculptures and others disciplines.
