Katell Gélébart
Bio
Graduated from La Sorbonne University and the École du Louvre (Paris), she is an Ecodesigner, author, collage/street artist, fashion ecodesigner and a university professor.
Founder and main designer of an ecodesign company (The Netherlands, India, Ukraine), professor at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (Italy) , free lancer for crafts organisations ( India) lecturer and speaker sharing a pioneering vision of creativity/sustainability in faculties worldwide are just a few hats that she has endorsed in addition to being a TedX speaker and the recipient of the prestigious Kairos Prize 2012 -the European Cultural Award - “as a creative visionary revisiting what’s already there.”
Work
Being autodidacte has lead her to be multidisciplinary and to apply the Revisiting what’s already there” coupled to friendly means of production. From stationery designer to fashion and shoe designer, she has turned into a collage artist with a global art project initiated in 2023, an art explosion currently taking the world.
Ethos & Philosophy
She has a passion to show the potential of waste and how it can be transform into a design item. developing and promoting the potential of re-using waste & unwanted materials in the field of design. Creativity shouldn’t mean new pollution and generation of waste as I myself live towards zero waste. Advocate of the low tech’ (versus high tech’) she uses simple old techniques in her creative process.

Biografie
Absolventin der Universität La Sorbonne und der École du Louvre (Paris), ist sie Ökodesignerin, Autorin, Collagen-/Straßenkünstlerin, Modeökodesignerin und Universitätsprofessorin.
Gründerin und Hauptdesignerin eines Ökodesign-Unternehmens (Niederlande, Indien, Ukraine), Professorin an der NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Italien), Freiberuflerin für Handwerksorganisationen (Indien), Dozentin und Referentin, die eine wegweisende Vision von Kreativität/Nachhaltigkeit an Fakultäten weltweit vermittelt, sind nur einige der Funktionen, die sie neben ihrer Tätigkeit als TedX-Sprecherin und Preisträgerin des renommierten Kairos-Preises 2012 – dem Europäischen Kulturpreis – „als kreative Visionärin, die bereits Vorhandenes neu betrachtet“.
Arbeit
Als Autodidaktin ist sie multidisziplinär tätig und wendet das Prinzip „Bereits Vorhandenes neu betrachten“ in Verbindung mit umweltfreundlichen Produktionsmethoden an. Von der Designerin für Schreibwaren über Mode- und Schuhdesignerin hat sie sich zu einer Collagenkünstlerin entwickelt, die 2023 ein globales Kunstprojekt ins Leben gerufen hat, eine Kunstexplosion, die derzeit die Welt erobert.
Ethos & Philosophie
Sie hat eine Leidenschaft dafür, das Potenzial von Abfall aufzuzeigen und zu zeigen, wie er in ein Designobjekt verwandelt werden kann. Sie entwickelt und fördert das Potenzial der Wiederverwendung von Abfall und unerwünschten Materialien im Bereich des Designs. Kreativität sollte nicht neue Umweltverschmutzung und die Erzeugung von Abfall bedeuten, da ich selbst nach dem Prinzip „Zero Waste“ lebe. Als Verfechterin von „Low Tech“ (im Gegensatz zu „High Tech“) verwendet sie in ihrem kreativen Prozess einfache alte Techniken.
